MY WORK
ABOUT ME
Design of any kind is a form of problem solving, and that is what I do. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed thinking both technically and creatively, but it wasn’t until college that I realized my passion for combining those two interests into a career in graphic design.
I currently reside in Virginia. While I enjoy having a home base, one of my other joys is traveling and seeing new places. I enjoy my travels most when it’s with a purpose – specifically, missions work. I love interacting with, and serving others, which is reflected in my attitude towards missions work as well as my goal in graphic design: serving people, doing it to the best of my ability, and glorifying God in all that I do.
Although graphic design may be my professional forte, my skill set extends to many other areas. These include strong critical and technical thinking skills, innovative design, effective and intentional communication, and a constant desire to expand my arsenal of capabilities.
In addition to those personality traits, I have a wide variety of practical experience that includes: Branding and Identity Design, Digital User Experience and Usability, Creative Team Leadership, Packaging Design, Idea Generation, Illustration, Print Design, Video & Animation, as well as Digital Photography.
I am a graphic designer and business development team member working full time for a DoD contracting company, as well as freelancing on the side. I have an extensive client base in the state of Virginia, 5+ years experience working with DoD and military contractors, and have worked with several overseas clients as well.
In my free time I enjoy supporting local and international ministries with my design talents, and sharpening my skills in other areas like sketching, physical design projects, and hand lettering. I also teach classes in both traditional art and Adobe Software, so if you are ever interested, feel free to ask me more!
